La Belle Equipe is a UISP affiliated association which aims to promote and develop cycling and cycling culture in all its forms. The idea of the association started life in the store of the same name in the historic centre of Pisa, to provide a meeting point for local cycling enthusiasts, to provide cycling assistance and to propose or participate in organized initiatives – in short, to live the social aspect of cycling to the full. Addressing this gap was the first objective of the association. From that point, the first cycling group based in the city centre in 30 years came into being.
The association is divided into three main sections: the racing team, amateur cycling group and historic cycling group.
RACING TEAM
The racing team is involved in all the main competitive races for regional and national non-professional championships. The team is made up of young cyclists and athletes with extensive experience, united by team spirit and faith in the association’s aims, leaving the ambitious side of the sport to the pros.
AMATEUR CYCLING GROUP
The amateur group is aimed at non-professionals of all ages who love cycling for fun, including participating in non-competitive events just as ‘Gran Fondo’ events or days out cycling in a group. Being part of this group is a social experience where you can get to know new people, learn to ride in a group, or simply enjoy your free time having fun and keeping healthy. We can offer lessons to those new to road cycling or using a Mountain Bike.
HISTORIC CYCLING GROUP
The historic cycling group is for enthusiasts of old-school cycling style – the perfect group to chat about past heroes, read up on cycling history and find vintage clothing and bicycles to participate in the numerous historic cycling events across Italy.
